Old scooter full restoration.(Piaggio x9 Scooter)
We are getting our old abandoned scooter back on the road. The scooter, which had been dismantled in a garage for many years because it was not working, finally found itself in the Restoringo garage. It is enough to watch the video to witness the revival of the scooter, which has been waiting for years in the depths of the garage, as it cannot be repaired because it does not work in this adventure.
In this restoration process, since the scooter did not work for many reasons, especially engine pressure loss, ignition failure and fuel problems, all of them were repaired one by one.
The rings of our engine around the piston have been changed, and valve training has been done to prevent valve leaks.
Due to the high cost of the existing CDI ignition failure parts, a universal CDI system was adopted.

I had an earlier one, with cycle front brake, not drum. I paid £4.50 for it, rode it to the Station and back for two years, and sold it for £25. All I ever did to it was hand paint it. Used to brake on top of throttle so it was pulling as soon as brake released.

Ja, du hast recht. Tiefe Kratzer an den Dichtungsteilen können gefährlich sein. Ich weiß nicht, ob es im Video sichtbar ist, aber ich verursache keine tiefen Kratzer. Außerdem reinige ich die Oberfläche noch einmal mit feinem Schleifpapier.

you are supposed to SQUEEZE the rear clutch pulleys with the clutch bell on so you dont hurt your hands and pull the belt so you can loosen it from the variator ... when you tighten the variator , you gripped the belt and damaged it ... great job yeah ... :/

Great work there! In London late 50's early 60's all the learner taxi drivers had those bikes to do their "Knowledge" of the streets of London on. They were always a pale blue colour. I had a NSU Quickley in those days.
